We are a dynamic research group within the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Photonics Center, UTA. Our research is dedicated to advancing semiconductor-based infrared optoelectronic and photonic devices, with a particular emphasis on photodetectors (PDs). These devices have critical applications in communication, sensing, computing, imaging, space and national defense.

Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of semiconductor device engineers, addressing the current workforce shortage in the semiconductor industry. We are committed to providing rigorous training and research opportunities that will prepare our members for impactful careers in this vital field.

We are actively seeking highly motivated, hard-working and diligent postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and undergraduates to join our team.
